If you are spending your holidays in Santiago and you've been touring the area of Puerto Varas, and its surroundings for a couple of days, you might be interesting in visiting Peulla. This village obtained its name from a word in the language of the local mapuche natives. In English that name means something like “spring sprouts”.
The Peulla town is placed in the western shore of the All Saints’ Lake, in the municipality of Puerto Varas, which is part of the Region of the Chile's Lakes. It's located in an area that isn't densely domiciled, having as the nearest town the one of Petrohue, in the opposite side of the All Saints’ Lake. 20 nautical miles away from each other, these two towns are just communicated by vessels that cross the lake, not having an inland road to join them. You can also see Puerto Montt in this country. For more detail about Puerto Montt click here.
